Zulu is a Bantu language spoken by people in southern Africa. The native name of the language is isiZulu, and the people who speak it are known as amaZulu.

isiZulu has 12 million native speakers and is spoken mainly in the province of KwaZulu-Natal of South Africa. isiZulu is a member of the Nguni language group, and is most closely related to isiXhosa, isiNdebele and siSwati.
